Harold E. Larrison

Harold E. Larrison, 80, of Topeka, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Aldersgate Village Nursing Home in Topeka.
He was born April 20, 1934 in Jackson County, the son of George A. and Lulu Coon Larrison and graduated from Netawaka High School in 1952.  He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and had worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber as a tire builder for 38 years, retiring in 1994.  
Harold was a member of the Soldier Christian Church, United Steel Workers, Local No. 307 and American Legion Post No. 142 in Topeka.
He married Glenda B. Wolfe on June 6, 1954 at the First Christian Church in Holton.  She survives.
Harold was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Larrison; a daughter, Penny Hannon Larrison; two sisters, Mildred Chrisman and Roma Dean; five brothers, Edward, Donald, Cecil, Larry and Robert; two siblings who died at birth, and two who died in infancy.
Other survivors include two daughters, Debra Swindale and husband Darryl, Topeka, and Kim Liddle and husband Steve, Little Elm, Texas; a sister, Patricia Konz, Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Carrie (Chip) Doud, Barry Swindale, Kira Varelman and Justin (Becky) Hannon, and great grandchildren, Mackenzie Doud, Maleia Doud and Braden Swindale.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton.     Burial with military honors will follow in the Holton Cemetery.  Harold will lie in state at the funeral home where family and friends will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday.    Memorials are suggested to the Helping Hands Humane Society, and may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O.
