Emma S. Lambert

Emma S. Lambert, age 90, of Seneca, formerly of Cheyenne, WY passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital.
Emma was born on March 7, 1924 in Tony, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Phoebe (Morehouse) Stevens.  She married Arthur A. Lambert on March 29, 1941 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.  Arthur was a career military man in the Air Force and the family moved to numerous locations throughout his service.  These locations included Oklahoma, multiple air bases in Texas, Morocco, Africa, Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska, and Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  After retirement Emma and Arthur built a home in Oceanside, Oregon and after a few years they moved back to Cheyenne and then spent a short time in Inverness, Florida and eventually settled down in Cheyenne.  Arthur passed away in 2008 and Emma moved to Seneca shortly thereafter.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur on September 22, 2008; her siblings, Jessie Faucett, Dorothy Faucett, Allen Stevens and Frederick Stevens.  Survivors include her daughters, Irene Becker and her husband Glen of Seneca, and Sharon Farnsworth and her husband Fred of Floral City, Florida; two grandchildren, Lisa Tichenor and her husband Stan of Topeka and Greg Vlasak (Aili Van Hese) of Wakefield, Kansas; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Cremation is planned with a service to be held at a later date. 
Popkess Memorial Chapel in Seneca is handling arrangements.
