Bill L. Milam, 83, of Falls City, NE, passed away August 9, 2014 at Falls City. He was born April 3, 1931 at Auburn, NE to the late Lewis and Mami (Avey) Milam.

Bill enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1949 and was honorably discharged in 1953.

On March 11, 1956 he married Shirley Majors at Auburn, NE.

Bill graduated high school at Eudora, AR in 1949 and following his discharge he returned to Auburn and the couple established their home in Auburn when married and he purchased Milam’s Green House in 1963. In 1974 he purchased Simanton and Pence Green House in Falls City it became Milam’s Green House. In 1978 he was instrumental in bringing Little Duffer to Falls City. He retired in 1999. He was a member of Falls City Elks Lodge #963, V F W and American Legion of Falls City and served on the Falls City Hospital Board.

Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley of Falls City, sons, Steve and his wife Joni and Max and his wife Michelle both of Falls City, brothers, Bob and his wife Penny of Chula Vista, CA, Jon and his wife Lynne of Stockbridge, GA, sisters, Vivian Nordbrock of Auburn, Marcen Sterkel of Ft. Collins, CO, Shirley Ann Hayes of McAllen, TX, grandchildren Staci Deger and her husband, Derick of Lincoln, NE, Judd and his wife Jamie, Jace, Hayley, Hannah and Noah Milam all of Falls City, great-grandchildren, Drake and Gage Deger. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Keith.

A public memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Rodger Good officiating..

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
