Dale O. Tallent, 89, of Hiawatha, died Sunday morning, August 10, 2014, at the Hiawatha Community Hospital.
Survivors include his wife Elsie; two sons:  David Tallent, Mark (Nita) Tallent; four daughters:  Roxie (Gordon) Graham, Jean (Bob) Baker, Cindy (David) Barnes, Teri (Ed) Burns; a brother Jerry (Nina) Tallent; three sisters:  Edythe Hammer, Dorothy (Richard) Alkire, Ruth Everhart; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Sandra Rae Tallent; two brothers:  Gerald Tallent, Ron Tallent; two granddaughters:  Erika Zancanella Shiflar, and Ashley Tallent.
Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha after 10 a.m. Tuesday where the family will meet from 6 until 8 that evening.
A Celebration of Dale’s life is planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, at the Union Church, Hardy, Nebraska.
