Janet Lynn Allen, 52, of Cummings, KS., died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Atchison Hospital in Atchison.

She was born on July 22, 1962 the daughter of LeRoy and Phyllis Roland Higley. She was a homemaker in her own home and had formerly worked as a nursing aid and caretaker. She was married to Howard “Keith” Allen and together they shared 32 years of marriage, “Keith” survives at the home.

She is also survived by her mother, Phyllis Simmons, Severance, KS., one son, Travis (Michala) Bilderback, Edwards, MO., one brother, Wayne Higley, Cummings, KS., two sisters, Patty Mulvaney, Denton, KS., Linda Roberts, Topeka, three grandsons, Dakota, Shane, and Levi Bilderback and a granddaughter, Jessie Bilderback.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. (1220 Walnut St./Hwy 59) Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, one hour before services at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Round Mound Cemetery, Cummings, KS. www.barnettfamilyfh.com
