Marjorie "Pat" Bruns, 71, of Whiting, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
She was born September 27, 1942 in Holton, the daughter of Harry and Alberta Walsh Zirger. She was raised in Circleville and graduated from Circleville High School in 1960.
Pat worked in the Jackson County Treasurer's Office for twenty years.  She also worked at the Employees Benefit Associaton in Topeka for ten years, and in the State Treasurer's Office for almost ten years.
She was a former member of the Pilot Club of Holton, the 20-30 Gerties Home Extension Unit, and had been a 4-H Leader.
She married Larry Bruns on September 27, 1967 at Holton.  He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Kevin Robbins, Holton and Tracy Robbins and wife Terri, Circleville; a daughter, Kathy McNeely and husband Don, Topeka; two sisters, Kay Groves, Aurora, CO and Cheryl Larson, Holton; and seven grandchildren, Cody Robbins, Kasie Robbins, Jordan Robbins, Sarah Robbins, Brittany Robbins, Kelcie Strecker and Ryan McNeely.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 26th at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton.  Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery.  Pat will lie in state at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home where family and friends will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.  Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
