Angelina "Angie" "Ash-Pah-Gah" Jo Ramirez, 49, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at her home in Horton, Kansas.

She was born on February 25, 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Tom and Linda Spoone Ramirez. Angie attended Powhattan schools prior to attending Haskell College, Kaw Area Technical College, then graduating from Sanford-Brown College in Kansas City, Missouri with her associate degree in nursing. She continued to work on her education throughout the years. Angie was a RN Nurse working at the Horton Community Hospital, Tri-County Manor, Holton Medical Lodge and various hospitals in Topeka and Kansas City. Angie enjoyed being a nurse and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her father, Tom Ramirez of Horton, Kansas; three sons, Austin, Alvin and Devin Whitebird all of Horton, Kansas; twelve daughters, Justina Brockman of Shawnee, Kansas, Joanna Hyde of El Cajon, California, Yvonne McCartney of Hiawatha, Kansas, Arlissa Simmons of Leadville, Colorado, Darliss Whitebird of Horton, Kansas, Jessi Whitebird of Kansas City, Kansas, Alissen Whitebird of Horton, Kansas, Riss Whitebird of Holton, Kansas, Marissa Whitebird of Horton, Kansas, Iriss Whitebird of Horton, Kansas, Clarissa "CD" Whitebird of Horton, Kansas, Vanessa "Nessy" Whitebird of Horton, Kansas; brother, Tim Ramirez of Mayetta, Kansas; two sisters, Beatrice Ramirez of Mayetta, Kansas and Rita Ramirez of Kansas City, Missouri; twenty one grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Ramirez, two brothers, Ruben Ramirez and Merlin Ramirez and a granddaughter, Paula Hyde.

Kennekuk Services and wake will be at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Kickapoo Community Building. Burial will be on Sunday morning at the Kennekuk Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
