Elmer D. Holcomb, 96, of Troy, Kansas passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2014 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Elmer was born on January 25, 1918 in Luray, Kansas to Leotus E. & Bertha Mae (Langley) Holcomb.

He served in the U.S. Army & a member of the American Legion, VFW, 40-8 & the St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Elmer owned & operated Holcomb Motor Service since 1958 in Troy, Kansas

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wilbur, Linville, Leotus & Derrall Holcomb & sisters, Junia Noyes, Hazel Holcomb, Oleta Holcomb, Leora Trant & Lois Smith.

Survivors: son, Jerald Holcomb of St. Joseph, Missouri 4 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren Sister, Bernitta Benitz of St. Joseph, Missouri Numerous nieces & nephews

Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 10, 2014 At the New Life Church in Wathena, Kansas Visitation: 6-8 Thursday evening at the church Inurnment at a later date.
