Jerry L. Hisle Sr., 73, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Tri-County Manor in Horton, Kansas.

Jerry was born on November 10, 1941 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Ralph and Bernice (Dierking) Hisle. Jerry graduated from Atchison Community High School in 1959. He served in the Army National Guard. He worked as a farmer, dairyman, exterminator and retired from the maintenance department of the Golden Eagle Casino. He married Nancy Banks on September 22, 1962 in Effingham, Kansas. They later were divorced. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering with old cars and trucks.

He is survived by a son, Jerry (Susan) Hisle of Horton, Kansas; three daughters, Loree (Brad) Monson of Everest, Kansas, Julie (John) Stoliker of Hubbardton, Vermont and Jeanne Otte of Atchison, Kansas; three brothers, Gary Hisle, Wally Hisle and Jay Hisle; one sister, Lana Zwygart; eleven grandchildren, Dyllan Petersen, Mitchell Hisle, Maloree Marr, Harley Madere, Mariah Hisle, Thad Madere, Kristen Otte, Gunnar Madere, Kayla Stoliker, Erica Stoliker and Beau Burton. He also had one great grandson, Kai Moore. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, step father, Robert Gentry and a brother, Lanny Dean Hisle.

The family will greet friends on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. A private burial will take place later at the St. Peter's Cemetery in Mercier, Kansas.
