Dorthy Lucille Conradt, 80 of Tecumseh, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Belle Terrece.  She was born on December 9, 1933 to Clarence and Pearl (Stalder) Smith in Du Bois, Nebraska.

She lived in Du Bois until the age of 8 when her mother passed away. The family then moved to Enid Oklahoma.  She then traveled to Eureka, California until the age of 13. She then moved to Du Bois at the age of 13 to live with her grandmother Emma Stalder.  

At the age 16 she met Adrian Conradt and they were then married on May 10, 1950 in Steinauer, Nebraska at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. On July 19, 1997 Adrian passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She then resided in Steinauer, Nebraska until moving to Ridgeview Tower Assisted Living, in Tecumseh, Nebraska at the age of 77.

Dorthy enjoyed knitting, baking breads, cooking meals for family and friends, crocheting, sewing, knitting, reading and had a very strong Catholic faith.

Dorthy was a member of St. Anthony’s Alter Society and St. Benedict Oblates, quilting groups and Holy stitchers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Pearl, husband Adrian and brother Leroy Smith.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Candy) Conradt of Central City, NE, Steven (Connie) Conradt of Steinauer, NE, Kathleen (Michael) Whiston of Mercer Island, WA, Jacinta (Ron) Kramer of Crab Orchard, NE, Rebecca (Greg) Wenzl of Steinauer, NE, Anita (Tom) Sisco of Burchard, NE, Patricia (Marty) Jacobsen of Amarillo, TX, 20 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Fern Smith of Lincoln, NE, aunt, Louise Volz of Falls City, NE, Aunt, Margaret Smith of Missouri, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Steinauer, Nebraska.  Officiating The Reverend Father Scott M. Courtney. Rosary Friday, November 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Register book available on Friday , November 28, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Inurnment of ashes at a later date at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Steinauer, Nebraska.   Memorials may be given to the Diabetic Association or Arthritis Foundation.  On line condolence may be left at www.wherrymorturay.com
