Gerva Dean Buser, 88 of Horton, Kansas, formerly of the Whiting and Muscotah area, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha, Kansas. She was born on August 23, 1926 in Netawaka, Kansas the daughter of Frank and Pearl Linnemann Banaka. Gerva was a member of the Horton Hospital Auxiliary, United Methodist Church, Horton Country Club, Hiawatha Elks Club and she was an avid bowler. On August 15, 1948 she married Edwin Buser in Netawaka, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2008. Survivors include a son, Greg (Becky) Buser of Hiawatha, Kansas; five grandchildren, Jeradon Myers, Jillissa Forrister, Jenalea Myers, Andy Buser and Curtis Buser; three great grandchildren, Brian Nelson, Brady Myers and Awstin Buser. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Shari Myers, sister, Joyce Buser and grandson, Joshuane Myers. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday evening.
