JoAnne Andrews, 83 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday,

 December 3, 2014 at the Pawnee Manor, Pawnee City, Nebraska. JoAnne was born on December 11,1930 to George F. “Skipper” and Atha May (Shelabarger) Marshall in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

 JoAnne graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1948. She then attended Commercial Extension School of Commerce in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated in 1949.

JaAnne married Lee Kay Andrews on June 16, 1950 at the Pawnee City Methodist Church.  To this union one son, David  was born in 1959.

She was a secretary to the school superintendent from1950-1959 and then for 35 years as cashier/clerk for NPPD retiring on June 30, 1993.   JoAnne returned back to NPPD in 1996 after her husband passed away, and worked until the office was closed.

JoAnne and her husband loved to travel, they made many trips to VFW events, attended Nebraska football games and followed BIG RED, with season tickets they had since the early 1960’s. She loved golfing, fishing, hunting trapping, gardening-big strawberry patches, and visiting her son and family in Reno, Nevada.

She attended Sunday School as a child, joined the Methodist  church and was a lifelong member, receiving her 50 year pin.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Kay, parents George and Atha Marshall, and brother James Marshall.

She is survived by her son David Wayne Andrews and wife Donnie, of Sparks, NV, grandchildren, Paul of Sparks, NV and Sara of Las Vegas, NV.

Funeral services 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 8, 2014 at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Reverend Duane Westing will be officiating.  Visitation will be on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from Noon-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Interment will be at the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Memorials may go to American Cancer Society.  On line condolence may be left at www.wherrymortuary.com  Arrangements entrusted to Wherry Mortuary, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
