Janene Ellen Morris, 59, of Holton, KS passed away December 6, 2014 at Medicalodge Jackson County. She was born July 28, 1955 in Holton, the daughter of Forrest Eugene and Berniece Lorene (Trimble) Morris.

Janene was a lifelong member of the Holton community. She was involved in Special Olympics, participating in discus, shot put, softball and track.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Georgene A. Wilhlem (Ken) of Mayetta and Debra Y. Korte (Raymond) of Holton; 4 brothers, Stephen F. Morris (Laurita) of Holton, Merle G. Morris of Wichita, Harold F. Morris (Judy) of Holton and Dennis E. Morris (Tym) of Topeka; 6 nephews, 7 nieces, 5 great-nephews and 7 great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Berniece L. Morris on February 18, 1977 and her father, Forrest E. Morris on May 17, 2014.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Holton Cemetery. Family and friends will meet one hour prior to service time at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton to go in procession to the cemetery. Officiating will be Janene’s Uncle Dale Nichols. Visitation will be 6:30-7:15 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
