Aurelia R. Stallbaumer, 88, of Seneca, Kansas, died December 9, 2014 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

She was born February 18, 1926, on a farm east of Baileyville, Kansas, the daughter of Herman and Alice Larkin Niekamp. She grew up there and graduated from Baileyville High School in 1944. She was employed at the ABC Cleaners in Seneca.

On November 25, 1947, she married Eugene Stallbaumer at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. They lived and farmed northwest of Baileyville for 42 years. In the spring of 1990 they moved to Seneca.

She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, St. Ann’s Altar Society at the church, and did volunteer work at the Mission Center. She was a charter member of the Nemaha count Association for Handicapped Citizens Board. She was also a Member of the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital Guild and did volunteer work at the hospital. She also did volunteer work at the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She was a Former member of Sacred Heart church, president f St. Ann’s Altar society there, and sang in the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Stallbaumer on March 13, 2007 a brother, Elmer Niekamp of Seneca; three sisters Anna Hammes, Louise Stuke, and her twin sister Cecelia Niekamp.

Survivors are her three daughters, Connie Caffrey of Columbia, MO, Sandra Hazlett of Topeka, KS, Laurie Stallbaumer of the home, 2 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, 10 A.M., December 13, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. The burial will be in the church cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca on 2 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2014. Memorial may be given for Nemaha County Training Center and or Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
