Ed Woehlecke

Ed Woehlecke passed away December 4, 2014, at home, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 82.

He was born August 11, 1932, in Sikeston, Missouri, the son of William and Josephine (Erler) Woehlecke. He retired as a territory manager for Funks and N.K. seed companies. Ed was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.  Ed lived in Mountain Home since 1987, moving from Hiawatha, Kansas. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and worked in the garden center at Wal-Mart, where he met Joyce. He married her on February 7, 2004. He owned and operated Western Auto in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Ed was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas and Hiawatha Lions Club, Hiawatha, Kansas. He was a very loving and devoted husband and father. Ed enjoyed going to church, worshiping his lord and studying the bible.

Ed is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Woehlecke of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, L. Evans (Ginger) Woehlecke of Hiawatha, KS and Byron W. Woehlecke of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Sarah Jane Woehlecke of Hiawatha, KS; step-son, Larry T. (Jackie) Peridore of Anderson, IN; step-daughter, Laura A. (Scott Bush) Peridore of Chesterfield, IN; three grandchildren, Jaycea (Andy) Stueve, Drake Woehlecke and Camille Woehlecke; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, William D. Woehlecke of Red Rock, AZ; brother-in-law, Ronnie Hinkle of Paragould, AR; two sisters-in-law, Joan Burgess of West Plains, MO and Emily (Dan) Brewer of Pomona, MO and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his children's mother, Jane Bowman Woehlecke and daughter, Joanna B.Woehlecke.?

Friends may call the funeral home after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Chapel Oaks funeral home in Hiawatha, Kansas.

Private Graveside services will be held at Mt. Hope cemetery with military services provided by the Brown County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 312 W. North St., Mountain Home, AR 72653.?
