Douglas E. Hill, 81, of Everest, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his son's home in Everest, Kansas.

Doug was born on November 16, 1933 north of Cushing, Oklahoma the son of Lee and Mary Dillard Bean Hill. He served in the U.S. Navy for twenty two years during WWII, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. After his service in the Military he worked as an oil driller and Chef for various restaurants. In May of 1960 he married Charlene A. Lake in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Hill of Lincoln, Nebraska; two sons, Robert E. (Rita) Hill of Everest, Kansas and Bradford Nolan (Gail) Hill of Bogue, Kansas; three daughters, Lesta L.(Ernest) Stonecipher of Hutchison, Kansas, Michelle R. Hill of Lincoln, Nebraska and Cheryl A. (Curtis) Woods of Reno, Nevada; brother Leon Hill of Derby, Kansas; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
