EDWIN  D. “STUD” BROWNING,  76, of Rushville, MO died Sunday, Dec. 28th, 2014 at his home in Rushville, MO.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Thursday, Jan. 1st, 2015 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Champ officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 31st, 2014 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Rushville Ladies Aid Hall or the Hands of Hospice and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.  Condolences and memories to the family may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Ed was born on April 27, 1938 in Rushville, Mo, the son of William H. and Elsie (Bednar) Browning. He graduated from DeKalb High School in 1956. Mr. Browning worked as a farmer and raised Tobacco for many years.  He also worked for Seitz Packing Company, St. Joseph, MO, then at the former Rockwell International/ Atchison Casting, in Atchison, KS.  He was a member of the Rushville Christian Church, and enjoyed gardening, raising pumpkins for the grandchildren, and bowling.

He was married to Maxine O’Brien on March 20th, 1959 at the Rushville Christian Church; she preceded him in death on July 20th, 1986.  He was later married to Nancy (Black) Crockett on Oct. 10, 1992, at the Rushville Christian Church. She survives of the home.  Additional Survivors include four sons; Gene Simpson, Rushville, MO. ,and ex-wife Shirley Simpson, Rushville, Mo., Chuck (Pam) Browning, Rushville, MO., Bob (Christy) Crockett, Rushville, MO., Rick Crockett, Rushville, MO., Tim (Diane) Crockett, Atchison, KS., two daughters, Kim (Bill) Noll, Raymore, MO., and Susie Crawford, Weston, MO., two brothers, William “Bill”(Loretta) Browning, Rushville, MO., and Bob (Jane) Browning, Atchison, KS., two sisters, Judy(Don) Steele, St. Joseph, MO., and Mary (Bob) Shuck, Atchison, KS., twenty grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.  His parents, wife Maxine, and sister, Betty Weitlich, preceded him in death.
