Carlotta L. Rogers, 67, Atchison, KS, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Atchison Hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Campbell Chapel AME Church, 715 Atchison Street, Atchison, KS, at 1:00 P.M. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 to 1:00 at the church. Carlotta was born May 16, 1948, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Leonard Allen Sr. and Christine J. Fields Allen. She attended the Atchison Public Schools.

In 1963 she was united in marriage with Richard Clayter in Atchison, KS. He preceded her in death in June of 1973. Carlotta married Raymond Jackson and later divorced. She was then united in marriage with Wil Rogers in September of 1993 in Kansas City Kansas.

Carlotta was a homemaker; she loved being a mother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing dominos, playing cards and going to the casino and smoking her cigarettes.

Survivors include her husband Wil Rogers, three sisters, Terri Hatton (Wade), Kim Ross and Rosalind Boldridge, six daughters; Peggy Clayter-Ellington (Leon), Lansing, KS, Patricia Clayter-Johnson (Sonny), Leavenworth, KS, Portia Clayter-Woodard (Ernest), Maple Valley, WA, Priscinda Clayter-Pearcill, Lansing, KS, Thelma Jennings, St. Cloud, MN and Barbara Hall, San Antonio, TX, four sons; Bert Rogers, Independence, MO, Brent Rogers, Independence, MO, Andre Rogers, Shawnee Mission, KS and Jason Rogers, Mesa, AZ, ten grandchildren; Pierson Ellington, Carlotta Smith, Bianca Johnson, Priscinda Johnson, Bridget Johnson, Kara Woodward, Keira Woodward, Khloe Woodward, Antonio Clayter and Roy Clayter, mother-in-law Evelyn Clayter-Roper and twelve great grandchildren, three special son-in-law; Brad Johnson, Amos Pearcill and Anthony Carriger and three brothers-in-law; Marvin Clayter, Roy Clayter and Jerry Clayter, four sisters-in-law; Joyce Allen, LaNita Allen, Helen Allen and Maxine Ross.


She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Christine Allen. A son, Richard “Manny” Clayter, Jr. Three sisters, Peggy Burton, Reba Allen and Patricia Allen. Six brothers; Leonard Allen, Jr., Arthur “Fella” Allen, Keith Allen, Theodore Allen, Vernon Mark Allen and Bruce Allen. Two sisters-in-law Carolyn Allen and Thelma Allen. A step brother Leonard “Bobby” Allen, Jr. and a brother-in-law Kenny Clayter.
