Ellen B. Schrick, 92, Valley Falls, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at the F.W. Huston Senior Living Center at Winchester.
She was born Apr. 27, 1923, at Holton, the daughter of Floyd and Louise Eckert Littleton. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1941.
Ellen retired from Kansas Department of Revenue in Topeka where she had worked as a clerk. Prior to that she had worked at Slimaker Dress Factory in Holton.
She had been a volunteer for Red Cross, Valley Falls Historical Society and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Altar Society and the Kanza Club, all in Valley Falls.
 Ellen married Raymond Schrick June 2, 1941, at Valley Falls. They divorced. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Schrick; a son-in-law, Charles DeArmond; and two sisters, Agnes Kramer and Glee Hough.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia DeArmond (George Alter), Ft. Wayne, IN; her son, Robert (Gloria) Schrick, Linwood; daughter-in-law, Paulette Schrick, Atchison; seven grandchildren, Greg, Deena, David, Ronnie, Jennifer, Steven and Jason; 23 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
 Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls, followed by a visitation.
