Virginia M. (Andrews) Albers, 84, of Bendena, Kansas died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at a St. Joseph, Missouri hospital.

Virginia was born on November 17, 1930 in Atchison, Kansas to LeRoy and Laura (Sloman/Blair) Andrews. She was a life long resident of Bendena and a homemaker.

Virginia is a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bendena and WELCA of the church.

She married Charles Albers on June 6, 1948 in Denton, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2008. Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald Andrews and step-father, Charles Blair.

She is survived by her children; Phillip Albers, wife Sarah of Denton, Kansas; 
Daniel Albers, wife Kathy of Denton, Kansas; 
Linda Gaither, husband Marvin of Troy, Kansas; 
Ron Albers, wife Martha of Bendena, Kansas; 
Steve Albers, wife Candy of Troy, Kansas; 
10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 
Sisters, Eleanor Niemann of Atchison, Kansas; 
Mary Katheryn Halling of Vacaville, California; 
Sister-in-law, Rosalea Andrews of Grandby, Missouri; 
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Funeral: Tuesday, September 22, 2015 – 10:30 A.M.
At: St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bendena, Kansas
Burial: Moray Cemetery in Moray, Kansas
Visitation: family will receive friends Monday 7-9 pm at the Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas where friends may call after 9 AM Monday.
