Wilbert E. Rockey, 99, of Hiawatha, died Thursday morning, September 24, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

Survivors include his wife Barbara; three daughters: Irena Lyon, Ruth Black, both of Hiawatha, Christina Buckingham of Warrensburg, Missouri; two sons: Paul Rockey, Phil Rockey, both of Hiawatha; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Kenneth "Butch" Rockey; two sisters: Marie Rockey, Gertrude Rockey; two brothers: George Rockey, and Albert Rockey.

Services are planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, September 27, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha, with Reverend Randy Quinn officiating, with family visitation to follow. Private family internment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Brown County Veterans Honor Guard, sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th St., 66434.
