Lynette Fankhauser

Lynette Jane Echternach Fankhauser was born January 3, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska to Verlyn and Kaythren Echternach.  She departed this life October 27, 2015 at the age of 58 years 9 months and 24 days, surrounded by family.

Lynn spent her youth in Millard, Nebraska graduating from Millard Public Schools in 1975.  Lynn went on to college earning her Associate Degree in Arts. On February 1, 1986, Lynn and Mark Fankhauser were united in marriage.  To this union were born three children.  During the nearly 30 years together Lynn and her family would live throughout Nebraska where she worked for Marriot Hotels.  After nineteen years with Marriot Lynn began working as a District Manager for the Omaha World Herald. While living in Stella she was employed by Graybill Tire Repair before becoming a stay at home mom.  They have made Bristow their home for the last five years.   

Lynn loved the Lord and attended Church of God in Bristow regularly.  She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship in Stella, Nebraska.  Lynn was full of love and had a heart to serve others in any capacity she could; she gave her time to serve as President of Bristow American Legion Post 126 Ladies Auxiliary.  Lynn spent many of hours working a needle and thread, whether it be quilting or crocheting and no one will forget her time spent in the kitchen, as she loved to bake.  She loved spending time with her grand babies; who could argue they, along with her family, were the inspiration behind her love for scrapbooking.

She is survived by her husband, Mark of the Bristow home, two daughters Heather Kennedy and husband Tylor of Ashland Nebraska. and Kanani Fankhauser of Bristow, one son, Britt Fankhauser and wife Trisha of Bristow, one sister Terri Echternach of Hawaii; grandchildren Gabe and Emma Kennedy and Hayden, Madison, and Isabella Fankhauser; along with one brother in law, Tim Fankhauser and wife Stacey, nephew Quentin Fankhauser of Humboldt, Nebraska; neice Rochale Schriner and husband Joe of Hollister, Missouri, and a host of other family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and one Brother, Alan.
