Sister Alice Smitherman, OSB, 81, a Benedictine sister of Mount St. Scholastica, Atchison, Kansas, died November 5, 2015, at the monastery.

The vigil service will be Monday, November 9, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the monastery chapel, and the Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated there Tuesday, November 10, at 11:15 a.m.  The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
