Dennis C. Cashman, 73, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Hiawatha Community Hospital. He was born on January 5, 1942 in Horton, Kansas the son of George and Lola Streeter Cashman. Dennis worked as a carpenter and roofer for Simon Roofing, Paden Roofing and Meyer Lumber Company before retiring. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Holton, Kansas. On November 3, 1962 he married Darlene Goen in Horton, Kansas. They later divorced. Then in 1983 he married Joyce Roberts in Horton, Kansas. Survivors include two sons, Anthony Cashman of Horton, Kansas and Duane Cashman of Gothenburg, Nebraska; brother, Duane Cashman of Horton, Kansas; three sisters, Marjorie Volker of Kansas City, Missouri, Sally Ann Strawn of Dennison, Kansas and Shirley Martin of Blue Springs, Missouri; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife's, Darlene Cashman and Joyce Cashman, a son, Dennis Cashman II, a brother, John Cashman, three sisters, Georgia McAfee, Beatrice Couch and Katherine Cashman. Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Inurnment will be at the Horton Cemetery.
