Gene Taylor “Little John” Robertson, 54, Winchester died Monday, December 7, 2015 in rural Winchester. He was born October 9, 1961 in Leavenworth, the son of Gene Thomas “John” and Vada Marlene Muncie Robertson. “John” was a member of Local #101 of Operating Engineers in Kansas City. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Lexaco company in Leavenworth for nine years and had formerly worked for Hamm’s Company, Perry, King’s Construction, Oskaloosa and Deffenbaugh Industries. He enjoyed raising cattle and hay on his farm, hunting and operating a Bulldozer. He was married to Jody Lanette Ayres on August 23, 1986 in Winchester, she survives of the home. He is also survived by his parents, Gene Thomas “John” and Marlene Robertson, Winchester, his mother and father-in-law, Sadie and Robert Wingert, Winchester, three sisters, Janet (Louis) Bruce, Lyons, Jean (Fred) Noll, Atchison, and Jane Henry, Winchester. He was preceded in death by his unborn children. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday at the McLouth First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Winchester-Wise Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Memorials are suggested to Kansas Wildlife and Parks memorial fund in care of the Funeral Home, P.O.
