 Peter J. “P.J.” Cummings, 81, Atchison, Kansas died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Mosaic Life 


Care in St. Joseph, MO.

Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Church 

with Abbot Barnabas Senecal, OSB as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the St. Patrick’s 

Cemetery.  A Parish rosary will be recited Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 6:00 PM with 

visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.  Memorial 

contributions are suggested to St. Benedict’s Elementary School, Maur Hill-Mount Academy or 

American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may 

be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.  Full obituary will be published in the Saturday edition of 

the Atchison Globe.  

P.J. is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ramona Cummings, sons, Alan (Susan) Cummings, 

Atchison, KS, Kevin (Lisa) Cummings, Olathe, KS, daughters, Karen (Ron) Bell, Atchison, KS, 

Brenda (Paul) Levinsky, Pottersville, NJ, Sandy Sampson, Parkville, MO, Lisa Hamrick, 

Roeland Park, KS, seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
