Frederick “Arden” (Spud) Bauman, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.

Arden was born on September 15, 1922 in Wathena, Kansas to Wilhelm and Ida (Haupt) Bauman.

He was a member of the Zion United Evangelical Church and the American Legion Post # 161 of Wathena, Kansas. Arden served in the U.S. Navy and was a life time farmer and dairy farmer.

Arden married Ruth Herpel on November 27, 1948 at the Methodist Church in Wathena, Kansas. She survives him of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dale Bauman, brothers, Louis and Vernon Bauman, nephew, Roger Bauman and a great-grandson, Leland Lubbers.

Funeral Service: 12:00 P.M. Monday, December 28, 2015 At the Zion United Evangelical Church, Wathena, Kansas Visitation: 4-6 Saturday at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas, friends may call after 9 A.m. Saturday.
