Vivian Gail McGuire, 70, of Denison, KS passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Topeka at Midland Hospice House. She was born June 14, 1945 in Springfield, MO the daughter of Lester Thomas and Lucille (Poole) Fox.

Vivian grew up and graduated from high school in Springfield, MO in 1963. She moved to Sacramento, CA until 2000 working and retiring from Sutter Memorial Hospital as a Dietician Assistant. Vivian had lived in the Denison community since 2000. After moving to Denison, she worked for Prairie Band Casino as a cook.

Vivian married Joseph Frederick McGuire in 1965 in Sacramento, CA. They later divorced.

Survivors include a son, Michael T. McGuire of Sacramento, CA; a daughter, Laura K. Coop of Denison, KS; 4 grandchildren, Phillip Coop (Brittiny), Marissa Coop, Sean Coop and Mikayla Coop; 2 great-grandchildren, Sophie and Eli Coop; and 2 nephews, Don (Sue) LaMastus of Holton, KS and Ron (Tanya) LaMastus of Roxbury, KS.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Barbara K. LaMastus and a brother, John L. Fox.

Funeral Services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
