Carol L. Rieschick, 92, of Falls City, NE, passed away January 10, 2016 at Falls City. She was born December 21, 1923 at Falls City to the late Henry and Alma (Winkler) Gerlt.

On July 29, 1942 she married Milton A. Rieschick at Hiawatha, KS. He passed away January 29, 1975.

Carol was raised at Falls City and moved to Hamlin, KS with her parents for a few years where she graduated Hamlin High School in 1942. When married the couple established their home in Falls City and then moved to San Pedro, CA in 1944. They returned in 1945 and have lived her since. After the death of Mr. Rieschick she and her son operated Rieschick Well Drilling until she retired in 1988. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th and Towle St.) at Falls City and the Auxiliary of Nebraska Well Drillers Association, she was a past President and Secretary-Treasurer.

Carol is survived by her son, Roy and his wife Kathy of Falls City, daughters, Lois Rieschick of Springfield, NE, Lucinda Rieschick of Falls City, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Donald, daughter, Linda Walton, grandchildren, Eric Rieschick and Heidi Drew.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
