Bonnie Joan (Noll) Schrick

Bonnie Joan (Noll) Schrick passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2016 at home from a yearlong battle with brain cancer. She was surrounded by her family when she passed. 

Bonnie was born on May 25, 1948 in Leavenworth, KS, the daughter of Carl J. and Joan E. (Chmidling) Noll.  Bonnie attended Mooney Creek Elementary School and graduated from Nortonville High School in 1966.  Bonnie worked for the Horton Garment Factory and Saunders Mop Factory, both of Atchison, prior to becoming the head cook for the USD 449 Pleasant Ridge Middle School where she retired after seventeen years.   Following her retirement, she worked as a cook at the Atchison Heritage Conference Center.  

Bonnie was a lovely person whose laugh would put a smile on your face.  Bonnie enjoyed sewing, planting flowers, many years of 4-H and showing cattle with her children. The most important part of her life was spending time with her family and loving her grandchildren. 

Bonnie and Larry J. Schrick were married on July 19, 1984.  Larry survives of the home.  Additional survivors include her children, Joey (Sarah) Noll, Lori (Jeb) Hoverter , and Richie (Kelly) Schrick;  Bonnie’s mother, Joan Noll; step children, Mark Schrick and family, Sandra (Greg) Wuller and family, Brad (Susan) Schrick; brothers, Larry (Jill) Noll,  Fred (Jean) Noll, and Leon (CeCe) Noll; sister, Marie (Greg) McDaniel; sister-in-law, Gloria Noll; grandchildren, Josie Noll, Kendri Noll, Mason Noll, Jesse Noll, Jobie Hoverter, Bryce Hoverter, and Kellan Schrick; several nieces and nephews .

Bonnie was preceded by her father, Carl J. Noll, on June 15, 2008 and her brother, Dale Eugene Noll, on November 21th, 2014.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in the Mooney Creek Community of Winchester, KS, with Fr. Lazar Carasala, Celebrant.  Burial will follow in the Corpus Christi Church Cemetery.  A Parish Rosary will be recited on Sunday at the church at 4:00 pm with visitation to follow until 6:00 pm.  Memorial contributions in honor of Bonnie are suggested to the Corpus Christi Cemetery and may be sent in care of the O’Trimble Funeral Home, PO Box 267, Nortonville, KS 66060.  Words of comfort and remembrance may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.
