Ronald Eugene Niedfeldt, 58, of Beatrice, NE, passed away January 17, 2016 at Beatrice. He was born March 19, 1957 at Falls City, NE to Harold and Joann (Krueger) Niedfeldt.

Ronald moved from Shubert to the Martin Luther Home in Beatrice in 1965. Later he resided in a community based apartment. He participated in Special Olympics, participating in track and field, swimming, bowling and basketball. He participated at the State and International levels. His special interests were the Nebraska Huskers, Civil War history and NASCAR racing.

He was employed by Exmark at Beatrice for twenty-eight years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club, commemorating his twenty-five years of employment. He also worked at the learning center where his specialty was engraving. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 6 miles north of Falls City.

Ronald is survived by his parents, sister, Rita Kreifels and her husband Scott of Verdon, brother, Richard of Shubert, niece, Kari Kreifels of Kearney, NE, newphews, Alan and Eric Kreifels both of Falls City. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Ethel Krueger and Albert, Sr. and Anna Niedfeldt.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6 miles north of Falls City, with Reverend Daniel Gifford officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
