Margaret E. “Maggie” McNutt

Margaret E. “Maggie” McNutt, 82, of Hiawatha, died Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016, at the Sabetha Manor where she had been a resident since 2008.

She was born at Hiawatha, May 30, 1933, one of eleven children born to the late William and Ester Miller McFeeters and had lived in Hiawatha for most of her life where she grew up and attended school.  As a young women, she worked at the dry cleaners here for a time.  She later worked at Monark Egg Plant until it closed, Wilde Tool Plant, and several other businesses through the years in town including Red Man Motel.

Maggie married Raymond Robidoux in 1951.  To this union, six children were born before they divorced.  She married Dale McNutt in 1971.  They lived a number of years in Albuquerque where she worked at a dry cleaners there.  He died November 16, 1994.  Soon after his death, Maggie returned to Hiawatha to make her home.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter Cathy McGraw, a son Kenneth Robidoux, grand-daughter Angie McNutt, siblings: Betty Gibson, Eddie, Jerry, Ralph, and Charlie McFeeters.

Survivors include two sons:   Roy Robidoux (Brenda) of Sabetha, Ronald Robidoux (Tammy) of Lincoln, NE; two daughters:  Ramona McNutt (Doug) of  Reserve,  Sandra McGraw (Mick) of White Cloud; five brothers:  Ronnie McFeeters of Madison, WI, Richard and Mike McFeeters, both of Hiawatha, Roger McFeeters of Springdale, AR, Billy O’Roark of Oregon; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are planned for 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha.  Chaplain Andy Smith of Nemaha County Hospice will officiate.  Interment will follow at Hiawatha Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Friday evening from 6-8.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sabetha Manor which may be sent in care of the funeral home.
