Bill Leach

Billy Dean Leach, of Highland, died at his home early Friday morning, January 29, 2016, with his family by his side.  He was 70.

Bill was born at Sparks, July 3, 1945, one of three sons born to the late William and Jennie Davis Leach and had lived most of in the Sparks-Highland area.  He grew up at Sparks where attended school, later working to receive his GED.  He served in the US Army during 1964 until 1967, during the Vietnam War.  Most of his service time was spent in Germany.

Bill returned home to work as an auto mechanic which he did until retiring.  He participated in the Memorial Day program at Highland Cemetery, performing military honors.

He married Debra Alfrey, November 27, 1968, at Fanning.  She survives.
Also surviving are two sons:   Lance Leach (Josh) of Lincoln, NE, Aaron Leach (MartiAnn) of Highland; a brother Edgar Leach of Sinclair, MO; a step sister Shirley; and four grandchildren.

Bill was also preceded in death by a brother Donald Leach; and his step-father Charles McCoy.

It was Bill’s wish to be cremated with family inurnment at a later date at Iola Cemetery, Sparks.
