Elmer Linderman

Elmer Clarence Linderman, 95, of Falls City, died Monday, February 1, 2016, at Falls City, NE. He was born April 17, 1920 south of Salem, NE to Clarence E. Linderman and Fredricka R. (Gatz) Linderman.  

He attended rural schools and graduated in 1938 from Falls City High School. Elmer married Vesta M. Bletscher January 12, 1945. He enlisted in the U S Army in March of 1945 and was honorably discharged on November of 1946 and received a WW II Victory medal. 

Elmer farmed for 11 years near Reserve, KS and later worked for Ray Majerus in the Rulo area. After moving to Preston he operated his own rock truck. He retired in 1980 and moved to Falls City in 2005. 

Elmer joined Immanuel Evangelical Church in 1936 and later was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church. 

Elmer is survived by Stanley (Rosemary) Linderman of Tempe, AZ, Joyce (Charles) Hundley of Falls City, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Vesta, a son, Keith, and a brother, Dale.

His funeral will be on Saturday, February 6, 1016, 11:30 am, at Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend Karla Shafer officiating. Burial will be at Bethel-Zion Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 5, from 7-8:00 pm, Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
