Kenneth D. Standley, 80, of Amarillo, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016.

Kenneth was born on September 5, 1935 in Bogard, Missouri to Wesley Wayne & Lela M. (Newton) Standley.

He was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Amarillo, Texas. Kenneth served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1963, after the air Force he went to work as a carpenter, continuing on to a surveyor for the Colorado pipeline and retiring from a realtor/Insurance agent for Thrivent for Lutheran. Kenneth was very active in Boy Scouts of America and the Lutheran Church. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing & square dancing.

Kenneth married Elaine Peuker on May 26, 1967 in Miami, Oklahoma; she preceded him in death in 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents, son, David W. Standley & 2 brothers, Donald & Loren Standley.

Survivors: son, Michael D. Standley & wife Virginia of Amarillo, Texas Grandson, Mark A. Standley & wife Sarah of Amarillo, Texas Great-grandchildren, Lela Ann & Tesla Reid Standley Significant other, Lillie Kelley of Amarillo, Texas Many cousins, nieces & nephews

Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2016 at 12 noon until 1 P.M. at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena, Kansas, with graveside service at 1:30 P. M. at the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Wathena, Kansas.
