Ronald J. Holthaus, 75, of Kelly, Kansas died on Sunday, February 8, 2016 at Life Care Center of Seneca.

Ronald was born on May 2, 1940 on a farm east of Kelly to Henry J. and Regina H. Hastert Holthaus. Ronald attended school at St. Bede’s Catholic School and graduated in 1958. As a young man he enjoyed being the catcher on local baseball teams. He worked on the family farm with his brothers until his health no longer allowed. Simply, Ronald was a farmer, dairyman and stockman his entire life, he took great pleasure and pride in the livestock he raised and the crops he grew. He was always willing to help out a neighbor in need.

He was a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Kelly.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his brothers, LeRoy Holthaus and Kenneth Holthaus both of Kelly.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 10^th at St. Bede's Church in Kelly. A rosary will be prayed at 2:30 PM on Tuesday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.

Memorials may be left to St. Bede’s Church and/or Cemetery.
