 Anna Margaret (Clary) Korthanke, 85, Hiawatha passed away Monday, February 29th, 2016, at The Pines, Hiawatha, Kan.


She was born March 28th, 1930 to Charles and Matie (Sutton) Clary, in Troy, Kan.  She graduated from Troy High School in 1948, was employed at the Troy State Bank and graduated from Highland Community College.  And soon after, began teaching in Fairview Kan.  During that tenure, she married the love of her life, Philip Ray Korthanke on March 30, 1951. He resides in Hiawatha, Kan.


Additional family remain, which includes five children; David Ray, James Alan (Charliss), Richard William (Janice), all of Robinson, Philip Mark (Gina), St. Joseph, and Lisa (Tim) Neher, Hiawatha. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three on the way.

She was preceded in passing away by her parents, Charles and Matie Clary; brother, Conrad "Connie" Clary and sister-in-law, Shirley (Cairo) Clary. 


A Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 AM Monday, March 7th, at The Christian Center, 519 N. 1st Street, Hiawatha, KS. , with Tony French officiating. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha, Kan. 


The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, March 6, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at The Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S. 7th Street, Hiawatha, Kan.
