Joseph M. “Joe” Frakes, 89, Atchison, Kansas died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his residence.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Harter officiating.  Private family inurnment will be held in West Lawn Cemetery, DeKalb, Missouri.  Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, March 8th from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Noyes Home for Children, St. Joseph, Missouri and may be left in care of the funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Elaine Frakes, four daughters, Joetta Smith, Paula Wohlgemuth, Rita Frakes and Sara Lund, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
