Mary Louise Weishaar, 73, Nortonville, died at home on March 8, 2016.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nortonville, KS.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery.  A parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm, Friday, with visitation to follow until 8:00 pm at the O’Trimble Funeral in Nortonville.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Church or St. Joseph Cemetery and may be sent in care of the funeral home at PO Box 267, Nortonville, KS 66060.  Words of remembrance and sympathy may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com. 

Mrs. Weishaar was born on June 29, 1942, in Kansas City, KS.  Kansas was her home. She has lived in Atchison, Mooney Creek, Emporia and Nortonville. Mrs. Weishaar graduated from Mount St. Scholastica Academy and worked at the Atchison Hospital and Midwest Grain Products, in Atchison, before becoming a mother and housewife.

She married William Weishaar on April 23, 1966, and they raised their children on the family farm in Nortonville. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and faithful friend.

Mrs. Weishaar is survived by her husband of nearly fifty years, Bill, and four children: Carl (Joetta) Weishaar; Jim Weishaar, Mary Weishaar, Ann (Jerrod) Glaser; four grandchildren: Haley Hoffman, Dakota Weishaar, Mason Weishaar and Joshua Glaser; and two great-grandchildren: Taylah Hoffman and Braxtyn Williams, her brother, Francis Schmidt; and sister, Carol Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Clara Schmidt; stepmother, Pauline Schmidt; infant son, Steven John; brothers Harold Schmidt and Robert Schmidt.
