Ellen M. “Mickey” Henson, 85, of Atchison, formerly of Cross Timbers, MO died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Atchison Medicalodge.

Graveside services and burial will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 17th, 2016 at Macks Creek Cemetery, Macks Creek Missouri. No visitation will be held, the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home is handling the the arrangements. Mickey was born on Feb. 6th, 1931 in Atchison Kansas the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy (Armstrong) Barry.  She graduated from Wyandotte County High School in 1949.  She was housewife and homemaker. Mickey enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, and animals.

She was married to Leonard Lee Henson on Feb. 27, 1956.  Mr. Henson preceded her in death on June 20, 2013.  Her parents, two sisters, and one brother also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Dan (Roxann) Henson, Atchison, KS, a step –daughter, Joyce Kast, New Burn, NC, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
