Letha Marie (Holaday) Gabriel, 89, passed away March 27, 2016 at Wathena Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. 

She was born August 30, 1926 in Wathena, Kansas to Edward and Lillie (Bruns) Holaday. 

She married Vincent Paul Gabriel on October 28, 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, infant daughter, Helen Marie in 1948, daughter, Ramona Meadows in 1993, her parents and step-mother Alta Holaday in 2006. 

Survivors include; 2 sons, Ronald (Lisa) Gabriel, Wathena, Kansas; 

Donald Gabriel of the home; 

Daughter, Rhonda Elder, Olathe, Kansas; 

7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren;

3 step-great-great-grandchildren; a step-brother, Harry G. Baum, Weatherby Lake, Missouri and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She graduated Wathena High School. Employed by Moskau Groman Grocers, Westab, Miller Pharmacy, Estes Grocers. 

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wathena, where she cleaned for 33 years, St. Ann’s Altar Society, Wathena American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was an Avon Rep for 35 years and achieved Presidents Club 30 years. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening. 

Funeral Mass: 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 31, 2016 

At the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wathena, Kansas 

Rosary: 7 P.M. Wednesday evening at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas, with visitation to follow. Friends may call after 9 A.M. Wednesday. 

Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wathena, Kansas
