Elmer Edward Iverson

 Elmer Edward Iverson, 75 of Pawnee City passed away on March 30, 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  He was born on November 11, 1940 to Elmer Edward and Myrtle (Parrish) Iverson in Anoka, Minnesota.

Elmer lived in Minnesota for most of his life until 1970 he than married Margaret Halik on June 2, 1970 and then moved to Pawnee City, Nebraska.  To this union one son was born Dan. Elmer lived in Pawnee City until his death.

Elmer attend school to the 10th grade. 

After the death of his first wife Margaret, Elmer married Esther on October 13, 2007.

Elmer worked at Table Rock Lumber and at Campbell Soup in Tecumseh. Elmer was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Pawnee City. 

Elmer served in the US Army in Greenland from 1962-1965. 

Elmer loved to going fishing, camping, barbecues, gardening, telling stories of when he was younger and living in Montana and Minnesota.  He also liked to go hunting when he was younger, playing cribbage, playing pool, listening to classic country music, watching westerns, especially John Wayne movies (Big Jake, Rio Lobo).  Elmer loved to hang out with his family and talking abut his trucking stories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Myrtle, wife Margaret, grandson David Michael Iverson.

Memorial Services at 10 a.m. , on Friday, April 8, 2016  at at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City  Register book available for signing on April 7, 2016, from 9:00 a.m.-5 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Inurnment at the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City.  Memorials to family choice. 

Elmer is survived by his wife Esther Iverson, son Dan and wife Evelyn Iverson,  grandkids, James, Jonathan, Jessica, Megan, great grandkids, Jayden, Isaiah, Carter and Colton, other relatives and friends.
