Beverly Anne Richey, 80, of Falls City, NE, passed away April 7, 206 at Falls City. She was born September 4, 1935 to Clyde and Dorothy (Gormley) Barnes.

On November 24, 1954 she married Keith Richey at the Christian Church in Reserve, KS. He passed away November 18, 2006.

Beverly was raised east of Reserve and graduated Reserve High School in 1952. When married they lived in various locations in Nebraska and Iowa until making Falls City their home in in 1952.

She worked at the Falls City Care Center, Falls City Community Hospital and Southeast Community Head Start. She was employed at Nebraska Health and Human Services for nineteen years before retiring in 1997. She was a dedicated and tireless advocate for disadvantaged children. She was a member of First Christian Church at Falls City.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Beth Ann Yoesel and her husband Paul of Hiawatha, KS, son, Kevin of Wahoo, NE, many nieces, nephews and friends morn her loss. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Larry Dean Barnes.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Eternal Hope Worship Center at Hiawatha with Pastor Richard Lehmkuhl officiating. Interment will be in Hiawatha Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
