Victoria L. “Vicki” Hauschild, 68, of Lancaster, KS died unexpectedly on Monday, April 25, 2016 at her home in Lancaster.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Sr. Mary Arie officiating.  The body has been cremated. Burial will be at a later date.  The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Vicki was born on August 25, 1947 in Leavenworth, KS the daughter of Victor J. and Hattie (Jacobsen) Shaver. She attended Fair Ground Grade School and graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1965. She later attended NEKS Vo-tech School and earned her C.N.A and C.M.A certificates. Vicki worked at Atchison Senior Village retiring in 2012.  She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, served on the  Church Council, helped with funeral dinners, enjoyed bowling in the Church, Senior  and Ladies Bowling Leagues. Vicki also enjoyed reading, quilting, and was a huge animal lover.

She was married to Virgil Hauschild on August 30th, 1971 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lancaster, KS.  Mr. Hauschild survives of the home.  Additional survivors include her mother, Hattie Shaver, Lancaster, KS., a step-son, Mike Hauschild, Wichita, KS,  a sister, Dianne (Bill) Pagel, Tallahassee, FL, two brothers; David Shaver, Lancaster, KS., and Paul (Ruth) Shaver, Sabetha, KS., sister-in-law, Martha Shaver, Topeka, KS and several nieces and nephews.  Her father, three brothers; infant brother, Daniel, and Tom Shaver, preceded her in death.
