Elwood, Kansas -  Leland O. Schoeneck, 71, of Elwood, Kansas passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri. Leland was born January 25, 1945 in Elwood, Kansas to Emmett & Monica (Madden) Schoeneck.

He was a member of the Wathena Masonic Lodge 64 and was an Electrician & handyman. Leland served as the President of the Gladden Levy Board.

Leland married Ravonda Bridgewater on February 2, 2016 in Troy, Kansas, she survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Louella Kent & a nephew, John Kent.

Additional survivors: son, Christopher Schoeneck of Elwood, Kansas; Grandchildren, Nicholas Schoeneck of St. Joseph, Missouri; Stacie Schoeneck of Elwood, Kansas; and 4 great-grandchildren & nieces.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas.

Visitation: 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home. Friends may call after 12noon Monday.

Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph, Missouri
