Allen John Locklin, 58, Nortonville, died Friday, May 6, 2016 on his farm in rural Nortonville from injuries received in a farming accident. Allen was born July 18, 1957 in Winchester the son of John William and Ruth Ann Wehking Locklin. He was a 1975 graduate of Jefferson County North High School. He worked as a machinist for Topeka Foundry and Iron 30 years, where he was known as “Farmer”. He was a lifelong farmer and custom harvester for Locklin Farms in rural Nortonville. He was a family man and loved his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council # 2885, both in Mooney Creek. He was a member and served as Union Steward of International Machinist Local #378, Topeka and a member of ABATE of Kansas and enjoyed riding his Harley. Allen was married to Denise Marie Schrick, daughter of Harold and Ginger Schrick, on May 2, 1981 in Mooney Creek, she survives at the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Lindsay (Rob) Aspinwall, Nortonville, Ashley Marie (Michael) Wilson, Basehor, one brother, Keith (Dawn) Locklin, Nortonville, and four grandchildren, Avery, Kelcie, Adler and Kinzie. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 11 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial Corpus Christi Cemetery. Knights of Columbus Rosary 6:00 PM Tuesday, followed by Visitation 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at the Church.
