Albert James Ernzen, 90, Topeka, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at his home.

 He was born June 29, 1926 in Atchison County, the son of John Henry and Ethel Agnes McCourt Ernzen. He was a 1944 graduate of Potter High School in Atchison County.   Mr. Ernzen worked as a self employed Auto Mechanic in Topeka for 30 years at his home. He had formerly worked many years as a mechanic for Auto dealerships in Leavenworth and had worked for Dale Sharp Motors 18 years and Gaslight Garage, both in Topeka. He was a member of the Meriden Community Church, Meriden and was a member of the National Antique Automobile Association and the Topeka Region Antique Automobile Association.
 

He was married to Dolores Jean Sass on November 21, 1948 in Easton, she survives at the home. He is also survived by one son, Kevin James Ernzen, Meriden, one daughter, Candice Ernzen and companion, (Mark Rowland), Roswell, NM, four brothers, Raymond Ernzen, Nortonville, Gerald Ernzen, Atchison, John Ernzen, Damascus, AR, Alfred Ernzen, Colorado, one sister, Frances Sanders, Potter, one grandson, James Marshall Ermzen and partner, Daniel Whitcomb, Topeka. Mr. Ernzen was preceded in death by one brother, Robert L. Ernzen and two sisters, Florence Brubaker and Loretta Belew.

 Funeral Services at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July13, at Meriden Community Church. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, at the Church.
