Karen Sue Baskins, 67, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Karen was born on August 21, 1948 and raised by her grandparents, Joe & Cora Sisk Sr.
She graduated Highland High School in 1968 & Missouri Western in 1995. She worked as a social worker & DCEC as a Para.

Karen married Gary Baskins on September 15, 1967 in Highland, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, brothers, Billy Joe & James “Biscuit” Sisk & a nephew, R.O. Sisk.

Survivors: daughter, Angela Baskins (Bill Powers) of Independence, Missouri;
Son, Charles Baskins of Troy, Kansas;
Niece, Jennifer Bethards;
Sister, Veronica Sisk of St. Joseph, Missouri;
Brothers, Ron Sisk (Sharon) of St. Joseph, Missouri;
Scott Sisk (Tammy) of Highland, Kansas;
Numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016
At the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas
Visitation: 6-8 Friday evening at the funeral home, where friends may call after 12 noon Friday.
Burial: Iola Cemetery, Sparks, Kansas
