Larry Gene Rose, 53, of Falls City, Nebraska was born December 24, 1962 in Seneca, Kansas to Delbert Leroy and Violet Mae (Bestwick) Rose.  Larry grew up in Humboldt attending grade school in Table Rock and later Humboldt High School. He served in the National Guard Company B 2nd 134th Infantry until being honorably discharged on May 11, 1999. On June 13, 1988, Larry was united in marriage to Margaret Collins in Hiawatha, Kansas.  To this union four boys, Brandon, Alex, Bradly, and Bryan were born.  Larry worked as a mechanic for Sterling Wittwer at John Deere Implement Company in Humboldt, Nebraska for many years.  He had currently been working for New Tech Construction until he became ill.  Larry was a member of the International Union of Operators Engineers Local #571.

Larry passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 26, 2016, at his home in Falls City, Nebraska having reached the age of fifty-three years, nine months, and 2 days.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father Delbert Rose, infant son Alex Rose, infant nephew Dakota Shea Dettmann, infant niece Tyra Rose, and father-in-law Gareld Simpson.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Margaret Rose of Falls City, NE; sons: Brandon Rose and his fiancé Heather Perez of Falls City, NE; Bradly Rose of Falls City, NE; Bryan Rose of Falls City, NE; grandson Payton Rose of Falls City, NE; mother Violet Dotson of Vermillion, KS; siblings: Sandy Penn of Frankfort, KS; Vicky (Chuck) Lynch of Bakersfield, CA; Linda Rose of Providence, KY;  Pam Gouty of Centralia, KS; Jeff Rose of Falls City, NE; Kim Rose and her fiancé Roger Clark of Dorchester, NE; mother-in-law Adelia Simpson of Falls City, NE; brothers-in-law: Leonard (Karen) Collins of Rulo, NE; Shannon (Katie) Simpson of Falls City, NE; Micheal (Krystal) Simpson of Falls City, NE; sister-in-law Vickie Collins and her fiancé Dwaine Honea of Wilber, NE; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016, at the Good News Assembly of God Church in Falls City, Nebraska with Pastor Dan Farley officiating. A register book will be available to sign from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Falls City, Nebraska. Full military honors will be conducted by the Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
