Wilma Jean Blaser, 96, of Marysville, KS, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 12, from noon until 8 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 13, at the United Methodist Church in Marysville.   Rev. Dale Lewis will officiate.  Deb Landoll will play the organ while the congregation sings “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace”.

The pallbearers will be Lynn Wilson, Jim Price, Howard Wandell, Gary Wandell, Max Alber, and Clark Williamson.

The honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Pralle, Dennis Williamson, and Dan Wandell.

Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery.

Wilma Jean was born August 12, 1920, at Waverly, KS, daughter of Alfred John and Alice June (Harrison) Williamson.  She graduated from Little River High School and attended Emporia State Teachers College and graduated from Hutchinson Business College.

On December 1, 1946, Wilma Jean married Walter Raymond Blaser at her parents’ home in Little River, Kansas.

Wilma Jean worked in a secretarial position in the Wichita area before her marriage.  After moving to Marysville she became Clerk of the District Court in Marshall County from 1967 to 1984.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and past member of Order of the Eastern Star and Women of the Moose.

Wilma Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter on August 21, 2005; sisters, Marguerite Alber and Dolores Wandell; and twin brother, Wilbur Dean Williamson.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Noreen Williamson of Warrensburg, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established to the United Methodist Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
